#2. Get a MySpace Page. You can get the band a MySpace site for free. There you can also load up some of your songs, photos, etc. Once you have your site up email all your friends and fans to come check it out and add them to your friend list. You can then contact them all at once to announce future gigs, song releases, etc.

#3. Get Something to Sell. You can't make any money if you don't have anything to sell. When you're playing gigs, even free ones can make you money by selling stuff to the audience. Make sure you have copies of your musicon CD or a flash drive to sell. You can also sell merchandise with your band's name and logo on it. You can do this online for free by setting up a virtual storefront at CafPress.com. They'll give you a little store front site and shore how your logo looks on multiple items you select. Then look to companies who would benefit from advertising to the audience you will be playing to. Auto dealers, clothing stores, soft drink or beer distributors, are also a good prospects. #5. Alert The Media. Contact local radio and TV station and offer to play any on or off air events or parties they are having. You may or may not get paid this time, but having your name on the minds and lips of the local movers and shakers can only help your career.

Sirius satellite radio is sometimes compared to cable TV, and in a way that comparison is valid. I discovered Eminems most recent song thanks to a fellow fan from my French Eminem forum. In fact, this is a radio edit of Marshalls exclusive song.

You all know how much I am into Eminem and Id like to share my feelings and impressions with my readers straight away.

While listening to the lyrics of the song, sadness overwhelmed my soul and I kept asking myself: What is wrong with you, Marshall Mathers? Is it so hard for you to say good bye to your fans or is there something else you want to tell us all?

The song is gently introduced by light bell sounds and followed by numerous violins which make the listener feel how much the pain is deep and how much Marshall speaks from his heart.

Marshalls mind is troubled right now and his most recent song made me feel sad and uncomfortable. Yes, he let his emotions out of his chest. Moreover, he made his public feel there was something wrong with him.

For the first time, Eminem has a broken voice on a track which reflects his broken heart. What is happening to Marshall right now? I think I have an answer for my readers.

Marshall feels like it is time the curtain of his public show closed for good. Not that he doesnt love his fans, but Marshall re-questions his choices and priorities.

Eminem recalls all the good times and the drama that happened in his love life.

As the good family man he is, Marshall is very conscious that he sometimes makes his daughter suffer through his absence. His lack of time and Kims whereabouts sometimes make Hailies life a real nightmare. When the little girl is looking for her parents, she is unable to find any of them. People who have followed Kims story know that she went AWOL, spent some time in rehab and in jail because of her cocaine addiction problems. Hailie was left with no answer during her absence. Her loving dad, her emotional support was always on the move, whether he was touring or promoting his album.

The refrain is like tears falling from Eminems heart. Marshall is conscious of his daughters pain and it literally breaks his heart:

...And when I'm gone, just carry on... don't mourn. Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling, And I ain't gon' feel a thing, So baby don't feel no pain. Just smile back...

His fans ought to know that deep inside of him, Marshall lives a real drama. He is heartbroken, inconsolable, helpless.

His daughter, the sunlight in his life, doesnt want him to go on touring. Eminems insecurities and feelings of guiltiness follow him into his dreams and turn into a nightmare:

I keep having this dream, I'm pushing Hailie on the swings She keeps screaming, she don't want me to sing. You're making mommy cry. Why ? Why is mommy crying, Baby, daddy ain't leaving no more - daddy you're lying. You always say that, You always say this is the last time, But you ain't leaving no more, Daddy you are mine. She's piling boxes in front of the door trying to block it Daddy please, daddy don't leave, daddy, no stop it.

Back to reality, the inside drama goes on. Hailie pulls a little picture for her dad out of her pocket. While being on stage, the pain increases with intensity. Marshall can hear the voice of his conscience telling him:

"You have got one more chance to do right, and it's tonight Now go out there and show that you love them before it's too late." And just as I go to walk out my bedroom door It's turns to a stage, they're gone and this spotlight is on And I'm singing...

On stage, the crowd acclaims Marshall in a very loud scream.

While the fans are throwing roses at his feet, Marshall can hear the voice of his daughter telling him:

"Daddy it's me, help mommy her wrists are bleeding!" But baby we're in Sweden, how did you get to Sweden ? I followed you daddy, you told me that you weren't leaving. You lied to me dad, and now you make mommy sad And I bought you this coin, it says "Number One Dad".

Eminem makes some reference to the drama that happened in 2001. Kim made a suicide attempt, trying to slit her wrists. Maybe the fear of another drama is still present. The past backfires hard into Marshalls head and pumps loud like heartbeats.

Hailies voice is there, once again, in form of reproaches:

- It's too late dad, you made the choice Now go up there and show them that you love them more than us. That's what they want, they want you Marshall, they keep screaming your name It's no wonder you can't go to sleep... Just take another pill... Yea, I bet you you will. You rap about it... Yea, Word, Keep it real.

Hailie feels like his dad loves his fans more than his own family. Marshall feels like his mind is split between his love for his family, his passion for the music and the feeling of owing his shows to his fans. He also makes some clear references to his sleep medication addiction.

Eminem is a brilliant performer who is loved for what he does. I will never forget when I first saw him on stage in 2003 at the Paris Bercy show and Id like him to know that this unforgettable event is one of the most beautiful moments he offered me through his music and great performance. I will keep the magic of his show in my heart as long as I live.

I am asking myself if Eminem is feeling guilty of being absent so often or if he also puts a burden of guilt on his fans shoulders. Eminem ought to know that true fans will always be very understanding towards his situation and the way he feels.

It seems very clear that Eminems heart is bleeding right now. The fans need to understand that Marshall is tired, that he has some issues to solve and that he really needs to take a break.

Marshall has visions of nightmares into his mind while the curtain closes and he says goodbye to the crowd:

I hear applause, all this time I couldn't see How could it be, That the curtain is closing on me. I turn around, find a gun on the ground Put it to my brain and scream "Die Shady!" and PUMP IT. []My life flashes, the plane what I was supposed to be on crashes and burns to ashes

He suddenly wakes up from his horrible nightmare when hes back home:

That's when I wake up, A long hot spring and there's birds singing It's brilliant, Hailie's outside swinging, I walk up to Kim and kiss her. Tell her I miss her, Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister. Almost as if to say...

Marshall, you filled my eyes with tears with your brand new song. I feel that too many problems are unsolved and do hurt inside of your family. Take the time needed to heal your heart. We love to see you performing, but your loyal fans dont want you to pay the highest price just to please our eyes and ears.

Eminem is telling us that he is not only physically exhausted, but also mentally. Let him close the curtain if he feels it is time to do so. A little girl has been deprived of her father for numerous years. Life is precious and Marshall needs to spend some time with his beloved ones.

Touching but very sad song that allowed us to penetrate into Marshalls bleeding heart and gave us some insight about how he really feels right now.

The car audio amplifier... its soul purpose is to take a low level signal from the source unit and transform it into a high level signal for activating the loudspeakers.

Amplifiers range in power from about twenty watts per channel to over one thousand watts per channel. Would you believe that the prices range anywhere from fifty dollars to several thousand dollars depending on features, power output and quality! Amplifiers range from one channel of output to as many as eight channels. The most common amplifiers are currently two and four channel models.

Amplifier Power Ratings Power amplifiers also have "optional equipment". These features include built-in active crossovers, equalizers, signal processing and speaker level inputs. When shopping for an amplifier consider that all power ratings are not created equal. The only true measure of an amplifier's power is its continuous power rating or R.M.S. rating ( or root mean square) and refers to the average power output of the amplifiers. Some of the low-quality brands will exaggerate or even outright lie about the power output of their amplifiers which is a good reason to stick with the well known manufacturers.

Car Amplifier Quality: Also keep in mind the quality of the amplifier. A generally good indication of quality build and the power output is the size and the weight of the amplifier itself. Better quality amplifiers will usually have a heavier and larger heatsink versus a low quality amplifier of the same power rating.

However there are many top quality amplifiers that do not follow this rule.

Blaupunkt makes a line of amplifiers that have a plastic shell. Because of the high efficiency design of those amplifiers a heavy heatsink is not required. Also a good indication of an amplifier's true output is the size of the fuse used.

Use your head when buying and keep in mind the brand's reputation for quality.

If you find yourself on a budget or lack space for many components then the economical thing to do is buy a multi-channel amplifier with the built in features and processors that you desire. By minimizing the number of components the chance of noise entering into the system is lessened.

Some features and aspects of amplifiers to consider are:

Bridgeable: This feature allows a pair of amplifier power channels to be combined into one channel of greater power. This is usually used for driving a subwoofer although it will work with any other type of speaker as well

Channels: The more channels an amplifier has the greater the installation flexibility it will have. Especially in terms of options, future add-ons and upgrades.

Class: This refers to the way the amplifier operates. The three types that are most likely to be encountered are A, A/B, and D. Class A amplifiers are the least efficient in terms of power consumption, staying on continually, but also have better sound in general than A/B amplifiers. They are very rare in car audio. Class A/B amplifiers are more efficient than the class A design and are the most common type. Almost all amplifiers in the car audio market are of the A/B design. Class D amplifiers are usually reserved for high power subwoofer amplifiers and can reach efficiencies in the 80%+ range. This design can therefore be smaller, uses less current and produces less heat than the other classes.

Connectors: This is the method of attachment used for wires that are connected to the amplifier, including speaker and power wires. The most common kind is the screw terminal strip. This is a series of screw connectors that can be removed and replaced without compromising the amplifier. The other main type of attachment is the "Molex" type connector. This method involves a wire harness that plugs into the amplifier after the power and speaker connections have been made with a crimp or solder connection. If the amplifier is installed in more than one system these wires can get pretty short over time and become more difficult and even dangerous to work with. A variation on the two is a harness that the power and speaker wires screw into. Then the harness plugs into the amplifier. This is probably the most convenient of all connections.

Crossover/Filter: A built in crossover can be useful, especially if it is many frequencies of adjustment. A filter is a crossover that only affects one channel, not actually splitting frequencies but simply reducing a range of them.

Distortion: This is often given as T.H.D. or total harmonic distortion. It is the measure of how much an amplifier will change a signal from the input signal it is given. Figures below 0.1% are negligible and will not be heard. Usually the figure can be in the 3% range without being heard but virtually all high quality amplifiers will have a T.H.D. below 0.1%.

Efficiency: This is the ratio of of power input (from the battery) to power output (to the speakers). A 100 watt amplifier with an efficiency of 50% would take in 200 watts of power from the battery and output 100 watts of power to the speakers. The other 100 watts of power would be wasted as heat. The higher the efficiency of an amplifier the better.

Power Output: The rated power output of an amplifier should be given into a four ohm load, all channels driven from twenty to twenty thousand hertz (20Hz-20kHz). Keep in mind that while the low end amplifiers are exaggerated in their power output, many high end amplifiers are under- rated in their power output. These are sometimes called "cheater amps" because they allow a car audio competitor to compete in a lower power class while in reality having a larger amplifier. This under-rating can be three times less than the actual power output.

Power Supply: The two most common types are the IC chip and the MOSFET supply. The IC chip is what is used in most source units (head units) and are only capable of roducing about twenty watts per channel. MOSFET is the more common design and has a smoother sound than the chip design.

Pre-amp Inputs: This is a set of jacks (usually RCA jacks) that will accept a low level pre-amp signal from a source or processing unit.

Pre-amp Outputs: This is a set of jacks (usually RCA jacks) that pass on a low level pre-amp signal to another amplifier or processing unit. These will sometimes be filtered outputs.

Separate Gain Controls: This allows the gain of each channel of the amplifier to be set independently of the other(s).

Speaker Level Inputs: For source units that do not have pre-amp level RCA outputs this feature may be used to take the signal from the speaker leads of the source unit. The signal will not be as clean as a pre-amp level output but will be adequate for most factory upgrade applications.

Stability: The measure of how low of an impedance load an amplifier can handle (in ohms). Any good quality amplifier will be two ohm stable while a rare few will go as low as a quarter of an ohm. Ideally an amplifier should double its power each time the load is halved. For example, a one hundred watt amplifier (into a four ohm load) should produce two hundred watts into a two ohm load and so on. This is most useful when running multiple speakers off of a single amplifier or in sound off competitions that are classed by total power output.

Tri-Mode Output: This feature is available under different names but is the ability of an amplifier to run a stereo pair of speakers and a mono subwoofer (or center channel) from only two channels of the amplifier. Personally, I would not recommend doing this. Instead buy a good quality four channel amplifier and bridge two of the channels for the subwoofer.

Tube Amplifiers: These are the least common amplifiers and are also the most expensive. Rather than the traditional solid state components they use old fashioned vacuum tubes. They are said to produce a warmer sound and a moother midrange than solid state designs. For most systems the standard design will be more desirable.

4. Botox. Some people start botox before the wrinkles show since if you can't even frown, how can you end up with frown lines. There's some logic in that, though personally I'm not sure if I'd do that.

5. Use a good moisturizer day and night for your skin type. I'd prefer this route to botox. Look at the ingredients list. Hyaluronic acid's a potent moisturizer that really hydrates your skin. AHAs slough off the old, dead skin, revealing the younger skin beneath. Antioxidants like vitamins A, C, E, pycnogenol, green tea neutralize the free radicals that would age your skin.

6. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Besides putting moisturizer on your face, you need water stores in your body to keep skin supple and healthy.

7. If you have dry skin, eat walnuts, sprinkle olive oil over your food and make sure your body gets the essential oils it needs to lubricate your skin. Dry skin gets wrinkles more quickly.

8. If you use a toner, go easy on the alcohol. Try using alcohol free toners as alcohol dries your skin. You might not feel it now but as the years go on, you'd find your alcohol based toner would give you fine lines. Try witch hazel instead if your skin is oily.

Corruption is not new, although it appears to be escalating and is certainly hitting the headlines.

Jesus was aware that people were diddling others, and He brought it into the open. That might alarm some folks too. One day everything is going to be brought out into the open - whether we want it to, or not - whether we think it is a good thing, or not. Nothing will remain hidden.

Making friends is more important than making money. People are far more important than things.

The future matters more than the present, and God gives us time to reconsider our priorities.
